Ward Profile

This ward has seen a total of over 50% of the land area formalized under the Urban Development Project (UDP). Most of the formalized plots have been formally allocated to the residents and they are in the process of securing title deeds through the 99 year lease hold title. This was one of the largest informal settlements in the City. Now this area boasts of an improved basic infrastructure and formal structures which have changed the image of the ward. The people in this ward receive refuse collection and other municipal services

Ward Profile

Ward Profile

The Ward consists of 70% informal settlements, with the remaining portion having been upgraded during the development of the MR3 Highway, that links Mbabane and Manzini. The residents are currently not in the Council’s Rates Registry. The area is in the transition stage of implementing the Mbabane Upgrading & Financing Plan (MUFP) and has already gone through survey

Ward Profile

The Ward consists of only formal settlements. All of the residents in this Ward are on the Council’s Rates Payment Registry. This Ward is the business heart of the City. It also contains Government offices, including the Cabinet Offices, shopping, industrial and recreational facilities are all found here. All the necessary infrastructure is in place. The people in this Ward receive all the most needed municipal services.

Ward 9 is made up of only formal settlements. All of the residents in this Ward are on the Council’s Rates Payment Registry. This Ward is mostly made up of residential properties and farms. All necessary the infrastructure is in place in some areas, whilst in others not all infrastructure has been installed (e.g. street lights). The people in this Ward receive some of the municipal services.

Ward Profile

The Ward consists only of formal settlements. All of the residents in this Ward are on the Council’s Rates Payment Registry. This Ward is mostly made up of residential properties and farms. The area is the latest to be included in the Municipal boundaries. It currently does not have most of the needed infrastructure, such as tarred roads. The people in this Ward receive some municipal services, such as refuse collection.y

Ward Profile

Consists of both informal and formal settlements. About 25% of the residents are on the Council’s Rates Payment Registry. A total of about 70% of the area has been divided into surveyed plots. The other remaining portion was still being considered for survey by the time of compiling this report. The surveyed area enjoys fair infrastructure such water reticulation,tarmac roads and streets. There has been an outcry, though, concerning the status of the sealed roads. The Council, together with the Ministry of Housing & Urban Development , are still deliberating on these concerns. The people in this Ward receive refuse collection and other municipal services.

Most of the area enjoys good infrastructure, such as water reticulation, tarmac roads and street. There are a few good accommodation facilities. The people in this Ward receive refuse collection and other municipal services.
