MBABANE – Council commemorated the Volunteer’s Day on Friday last week.
The event was held at the Prince of Wales and the day provided an opportunity for Community Health Care Volunteers, Ministry of Health and other relevant stakeholders to celebrate the tireless efforts and work the Volunteers are doing within their communities.
A total of 97 Community Health Care Volunteers received food hampers and the 5 retired from the program and were honoured with blankets for their service. Eight of them who excelled or did an outstanding job in teaching, cooking and providing home-based-care services within their communities received special gifts from the Mayor.
